About

Before opening his own office in January 2023, Daniel was a partner at Bär & Karrer, one of Switzerland’s top tier business law firms. From 2003 to 2021, he headed the firm’s dispute resolution department. He served as a member of Bär & Karrer’s management committee (2000–2006) and as Senior Partner and Chairman of the firm (2011–2021).    

He was engaged as a lecturer at the Universities of Zurich and St. Gallen, and has published and lectured extensively on arbitration and litigation in Switzerland and abroad (see selected publications and speaking engagements). Daniel has been a member of the ICC Court of Arbitration in Paris, France, since July 2015 and Vice President from July 2021. In March 2022, Daniel was elected to the Board of Novartis, one of the largest pharmaceutical companies in the world.
